Jackson’s help homeless family

A few days ago AFD Firefighter Brian Jackson and his family were out grabbing lunch when they noticed a homeless man with four children. They stopped and bought the family lunch but wanted to do more. They contacted Random Acts and after taking to the family we figured out that they had family in San Diego that would get them off the streets, give them a job, and help them with feeding the kids. Rather than trying to give them temporary help here it sounded to us their situation would be greatly improved simply by getting them to San Diego. We got the whole family down to the train station, gave them some food and toys for the kids and paid the fair to get them on the bus. It was truly a great random act because it was generated out of the compassion of a firefighter and his family that decided to stop and make a difference. We are so proud to have the Jackson family as a part of our organization. Keep up the good work!!
